Sources

A primary source is one where it is taken directly from a first hand witness, a picture, or quoted word for word. A hand source would be when someone other than the first hand witness uses primary information and adds their own words or saying to it, not keeping it original. The primary source has always been known to be more trust worthy and i do not go against that saying, however that doesn't make second hand sources untrustworthy. Secondary sources can be as true as the primary sources, only with a person's personal opinion. Things such as autobiographies, photographs, or quotes would be considered a primary source. A television show that is about a certain event could be secondary and so can things on the internet. Sites such as Wikipedia is a secondary source, since they collected the information from someone or somewhere else. For example in a event like the 9/11. A interview of a person who was there and experienced the bombing would be a primary sources, also a picture of the twin towers being blown up would be a primary source also. Secondary sources would be a child at school who saw the interview and then added his own opinion on the people who bombed the towers. So in conclusion a primary source would be one with solid facts and hands on information. A secondary source would be someone else who uses the primary source and adds their own opinion or details to the source.
